“Heart to Heart with Mom ”
After school the other day I came home and sat on the couch and started watching Ellen with my mom like usual. When she asked how my day was I told her from start to finish what happened. I explained all these friend issues that I've been having, and now that I've talked with her I wished I had said something before. My mom apparently had the same issues with her friends growing up and had a lot of good advice to give me. She also wasn't prying and digging for details information like I thought she would. It ended with me feeling better about my situation and it also led to us going out to dinner together to continue having our conversation. I plan on telling my mom more about what goes on in my life because she acted like she was very interested and cared to know more.

Last night I went to a bonfire with some friends. Usually I would have just told my mom it "was good" when she asked how it was, This time i made sure to tell her all about who was there, what we did, and how much fun it is. I think parents do appreciate you taking the time to give them a little look into your life. Plus, it's fun actually having a conversation with them.
