“Holding doors open make people smile! Santana”

After I was done filling deposit slips outside of my work I started to head back in when a girl with a broken leg was walking in. I stepped back and held the door open for her so that she wouldn't have to bother with it (she had crutches and everything). She smiled and said thank you, she said it wasn't fun dealing with the crutches and all. People really do appreciate when you can take a second or two to be kind!

Helping My Mom!

So it was my birthday a couple of days ago and my mom was throwing me a party for me and all my friends! She was making a huge dinner and getting everything we needed for the party. She needed a lot of help but didnt want to ask me because it was my birthday and my day to enjoy, so without even being asked I got up grabbed the vacuum and vacuued our whole house and mopped all the floors so the house was clean. She was really happy I did it and I was really happy I could help her out when she was doing so much for me!

No Name Calling

The other day I was in one of my classes at school and some people were calling this kid a nick name well the nick name was kind of derogatory but everyone thought it was a joke and funny including the kid who was being called that name. Well I decided to not call him anything because I didnt know how he really felt maybe he really didnt like that name. This deed taught me to be more aware and concious I say to other people I need to be sensitive to other peoples feelings.

Dont talk bad

The other day i was with a group of people who were talking bad about someone that they didn't like. i decided to not participate because i knew that if it were me they were talking about i would feel really bad. i wish people could see how words can hurt someone so badly and that no one would gossip or talk badly about other people. treat people the way you would like to be treated!

Ignore your phone!!

The other day i was chatting with parents when my phone started buzzing. normally i would pick it up and tell them to 'hang on' or answer a text but i decided to just let it keep buzzing in my pocket instead of pausing the conversation to answer to someone else. i know that when people do that to me while im talking it makes me feel less important so i decided that i didnt want to make my parents feel like that. from now on im going to try to not respond to texts or answer calls while im talking to them.

Ignoring Phone

Last weekend it was one of my best friends birthday. There was 8 girls there and my friends mother decided to make us a nice dinner. We sat down and all started talking with eachother about our day and the conversation was fun because everyoen was involved and engaged. One of the girls however decided to be on her phone throughout the whole dinner surfing the web, using apps and texting her boyfriend. I could have just as easily done this too, but I decided to turn my phone on silent and ignore my device for the little amount of time we were having dinner. she came off as very disrespectful and unsocial. It is good to be engaged in the conversation because it is respectful and you might just find out your interested in the conversation as well!
