“Doing the Dishes”

My boom boom card was to do a family chore without being asked. So after having dinner with my family, instead of leaving to go to my room, I picked up all the dirty plates, forks, etc. and took them to the sink to wash. When I began to wash the dishes my mom and dad were so surprised because they thought I was finally doing something useful. And then once I finished washing the dishes I went to my room but before I was able to get in to my room my parents stopped me to thank me for doing the dishes for them. When they told me that I was happy because I felt like I helped them out by being able to take one thing off their shoulders for the day.
