“Chose Another Easy One”
1 person thinks this is Nice! I chose #7 for my second "official" act of goodness; again, not a challenge. I teach at a middle school in Watsonville, CA and it's easy to find litter to pick up. Don't get me wrong, this is the cleanest campus I've worked on. Somehow, picking up trash transmitted itself into smiling even more, and sincerely exchanging even more pleasantries. When I thought I had a conflict with a colleague, I just asked her how things were going. My suspicion that her life was more than a little difficult was confirmed. What REALLY was going on had nothing to do with what had happened between us. Rather, it was because of other very difficult circumstances she has.
I feel there's a goodness mist around me. It's the most amazing feeling. Oh, the principal had announced he was going to assign a "litter detail." I didn't wait for him. I assigned my first "litter detail" to a student who routinely trashed the garden outside our room. Not any more!

I love how this one act generated a "kindness mist" around you! That's fantastic. Who knew picking up garbage could inspire compassion and understanding. Just goes to show you what can happen if we're open to it. Well done. Boom Boom! to you and your awesome work.
Hello MB! Here's a funny twist. . . my principal, who gave me the deck, is about to receive the card about picking up trash. I've never experienced a principal like him in over 30 years of teaching so I imagine he'll probably pick up trash all day too!
