That's awesome though. It always feels good when you hear from someone who was just calling to say hey, after its been a while. The people you spoke to definitely had their day made by hearing from your perky little self. lol. And it seems you benefited as well, reconnecting with people. I'd say that was a pretty successful card. Boom Boom!

Sometimes it's the "litte things" in life that make someone's day (or your own). Last week I had a former student of mine call me (it has been YEARS) since we've talked. We were on the phone for almost an hour and a half. I really loved to hear about what was going on for her (some of it quite tragic). It made me realize how much I missed her. You just never know much "the little things" mean. From someone who was on the receiving end, I can tell you it meant a great deal to me. I'm glad you reached out, Andrea.

That's great. I should've got this card. I haven't been in contact with many people that have greatly inspired me. But, I just read this and seeing how you really got in contact with people that really had an impact on you and it didn't take that much of an effort, makes me want to do the same. Facebook is also a good way to do that. I also agree with Mala, it's "the little things". Glad you did this; i'm actually going on facebook now. :)

I agree, hearing from people that you haven't spoken with in some time is always really nice. Ans as Andrea said, we just forget how nice it can be. It doesn't even have to be calling [though its always fun to chat haha] but it can be facebook messages or IMs. I think it's knowing that someone else remembers, cares, or is simply thinking of you thats the best part. And who knows, maybe you inspired them to cal someone they haven't talked to.

It never hurts to contact someone and just ask how they're doing, especially if you havent spoken to them in a long time. I must admit i also wish i had this card but just because i didnt get it doesnt mean i can't take the time out to contact someone i havent spoken to in a while. Also, just because of long distance doesnt mean you can't maintain a relationship with someone. So kudos to you Andrea for trying to re establish those relationships. One of my bestfriends goes to school in Florida and i make it my business to constantly harass her and make sure shes ok no matter how many miles apart we may be.

I'm actually really jealous that you got this card now that I see how awesome it is! I think I'm actually going to do the card anyway. I have been meaning to call a teacher I had throughout high school who I am very close with because I worked with her at a camp for two summers. It's really great to see that everything worked out with people whom you haven't talked to in so long. I also feel the same way, where it's like it's on your list of things to do but you just always have something else in the way or other things on your mind, but sometime this week i will definitely be calling or emailing my teacher. Thanks for the push! haha
