“Falling Whistles ”
"The Falling Whistles campaign launched with a simple response – make their weapon your voice and be a whistle blower for peace in Congo."
I first heard about this amazing organisation in Modern History during my final year of schooling. The horrible, gruesome stories of child soldiers stolen from their families and forced into battle. Those too young to fight were given a whistle and placed on the frontline. Their job was to blow the whistle when the enemy approached and take the first round of bullets.
My heart aches for these children, for their situation, for their families... but what could I do?
All you have to do to be involved is donate by purchasing a whistle and SPEAK UP! "Share their story and speak up for them."
Every time I wear my whistle people ask 'what is that', 'where did you get it' and I don't hesitate to tell them.
Challenge: Buy a whistle and play your small part in creating change.
"Your purchase works to restore their lives."
