Card Journey for: [NQ-2Y2LR]
In Need Of A Friend....
I met her in elementary school. At first we became friends because I was taught from an early age that if you see someone that looks lonely and forsaken, you should do what you can to make them realize that they are not alone. Other kids made fun of her because she was quiet and didn't dress like everyone else, but from the first time we played at recess I could tell that she had a beautiful and kind soul (well, maybe not in the moment; I was like 8).
As years passed, we saw each other from time to time, but lost contact after she dropped out of high school due to her father's passing.
Despite the fact that I let time get in the way, I still think of her from time to time.
As cliche as it is, I saw her post something on Facebook today, and decided to message her. We talked for a pretty long time and exchanged numbers.
Incidentally, today is also when I received my boom Boom deck.
Everyone should know compassion.
No one should be alone.
Thank you, Nicole.
Friends
When I was 14, I had a best friend. We started dating when I was 15 but then we fell out of touch when I had to move schools. We hadn't talked since until my first year of college. Then, when he transferred away, we fell out of touch again. Getting this card kind of gave me a reason to reach out and say hi!
