We started collecting boxes about two months out. Once our garage was full of boxes, we started attaching them to the furniture in the living room. Our fort didn't have a top because it was about 15' x 10'. We had enough room to get three air mattresses and another small mattress on the floor. We watched some TV shows and camped out overnight.
