Pick it Up!
I am excited to start using this system with my 6th grade students. We are working on trying to clean up the environment, beginning with teaching a group of 3rd graders just how long the trash we create stays in the world. (see my lesson plan)

picking up trash
I went to the park with my family today. We enjoyed a nice event near a lake. I saw a plastic water bottle on the sidewalk and decided to pick it up. Later i saw the recycling bin and threw it there.

School cleanup
My school has a courtyard so we can eat outside during lunch but if there is a lot of trash over and over again the custodians will close it. So after lunch one day I cleaned it up for the custodian.
