Litter? Not in my neighborhood!
I was challenged to pick up litter on the ground and throw it away. Someone in my little townhouse community neglects to pick up after their dog, so on top of picking up some stray dryer sheets, I removed the dog poop so someone else wouldn't step on it. I don't know that this makes me feel any emotion except a little grossed out, but I hope someone else does this for others.

Holding the door
Had the opportunity to hold the door open numerous times (including the elevator doors), many people were genuinely surprised to have someone do something nice. A sweet reward was getting a "thank you" and a smile!

Feeding the Meter
I pulled into a parking spot with a meter, fed it, and then, I noticed the car behind me had an expired meter. So, I fed it enough for a little over 3 hours and went about my day. I hope the driver of that vehicle will someday return the favor to someone else!

Mr. Ingram, the greatest teacher that ever lived!
My former 5th grade teacher found me on Facebook, and "friended" me. I sent him a message telling him how happy I was to see him on there, and how much he influenced my decisions through the years. He's the type of teacher I aspire to be with my students. He showed us that he truly cared for us, introduced us to Shakespeare, and made 5th grade THE BEST year ever. He recently retired, and I am so sad to see him out of the teaching profession, but his influence will live on through all of his former students and through the people we are allowed to impact. He wrote back that he was crying and his students made everything worthwhile. What a great guy!
