Influencing the family
It's definitely the season of Goodwill! My wife and I were in London last week. As we parked the car we realised we didn't have the correct change for the parking meter. I asked the first passer by if we could exchange coins. He gave me the coins and refused to take mine! We thanked him and put the coins in the meter and realised we still needed more (it was an expensive meter!). So we asked the next person if she would exchange coins. She gave me the coins I needed and refused to take mine.
I was Boom Boom-ed twice within 5 minutes and it felt wonderful!

You never know until you make contact
I made friends with Jeff when we both worked for separate companies in Jakarta, Indonesia during the early 1980's. We were subsequently transferred to work in different countries and lost contact. I had made attempts to find out his whereabouts but Facebook didn't exist back then.
Last week I typed his name into Facebook and hey presto! He was there. Definitely him but the hair was a little greyer.
I remembered he was from the Midlands but when I contacted him it turned out he had been living in the next town to me in the South of England for the past three years.
To the Chinese the number '8' means great fortune. Boom Boom! Card number '8' has brought just that.

It's int the eyes
My wife and I went to our local Marks & Spencer to buy a couple of items for supper last night. We took the basket to the under 5 items check out where a trainee was working.
When we reached the front the trainee apologised for us having to wait in line (only two people before us). I asked him if he'd been trained to say that to everyone as it wasn't necessary. He told me he had.
For someone being trained he was efficient and even told us that had we had selected particular products on which there was an offer to received another one for free. He rang the bell for someone to get that free product for us.
He gave us the total amount and I paid, thanking him for his help He nodded in return and as he thanked me, he looked us both in the eyes and smiled. How rare to see someone in a shop with that level of contact.
I knew the shop manager and we went to tell her that she had someone special on her team.

Where are the tolls?
This is a great card to play because it takes the ego out of the deed. I L-O-V-E the 'do it for more than one car' suggestion. Promote that person to 'Supreme Commander' immediately.
The person you pay the toll for won't know who you are and just may decide to do the same for someone else when the magnitude of the deed sinks in.
There are no tolls near me so instead I bought ice creams on a sunny day for a group of 10-12 year old school boys and girls. They were all broke and miserable but afterwards they were all broke and happy.
Much better!
PS I then sent the card to a lovely lady in Canada where there are tolls!

Smiles
I just held the door open every time I got the chance (even if the people were still far away)and all day long I got smiles.
Want to be smiled at? You know what to do!
